Zea is literally growing so fast I can see it. She's shooting up in height and is making some emotional leaps too. My dear little daughter, nearly six, has decided that it is time to sleep in her own bed. About a week ago I noticed she was sleeping further from me, using my arm to cuddle with less and less and finally and adamantly said, "UGH, I CAN'T use your arm to cuddle, you're so HOT!!" (and true enough, I'm a furnace). I think if we'd still been nursing she may have weaned right around this time too (I encouraged the weaning around 5 or so...??). Two nights ago she moved into her bed (which has sat, relatively unused in my room/her room/alcove for over a year??). I see a sense of accomplisment and OKness in her. "MOM, I am five, I'm nearly SIX...it's time to be in my own bed." Ok...never made mention of it, all on her own, she's moved on. I'm also noticing she needs WAAAAY more snuggles during the day (which is expected). Awwww....and Soren is night weaned (nursing only in the am before we get out of bed and as he requests it during the day...and sometimes when I think he really needs a nap). My diapers have become cleaning rags (the two that have survived, anyway) and soon my boobs and my bed will be mine (relatively speaking..within a few years anyway!). wow...life moves on ;)
